Origin: Pedro Estate, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka
This classic, high-grown tea hails from the lush Mahagastotte Valley where the fragrance of cypress groves, wild mint, and eucalyptus trees fill the cool mountain air. The estate is situated near Pidurutalagala (Mt. Pedro), the highest mountain in Sri Lanka, at an elevation of over 5,700 feet above sea level. Enjoy the light golden liquor, medium body, and aromatic bouquet of this famous tea.
The legend of Lovers Leap comes from the tragic romance of two young lovers of different castes who fled here and leapt from the top of a waterfall. The area has since been known as a hideaway for lovers.
